Dear All,
We are excited to announce a T-Shirt & Hoodie Design Competition for the Department of Mathematical Science.
We are looking for creative and original designs that could represent the spirit of our department, Mathematics. You can let your imagination run wild — whether your inspiration comes from mathematical symbols, geometry, topology, analysis, algebra, equations, or simply the life of a mathematician!
The Challenge
Design an original artwork for a Mathematics Department T-shirt and/or hoodie.
The best design will be selected by a selection committee comprising faculty members and students, and the winner will receive a free T-shirt featuring their design.
A Design With a Purpose
This initiative is also an opportunity to support a meaningful social cause.
The apparel platform Opportunity Originals, run as part of the Rescue and Relief Foundation’s social initiatives, uses clothing and creative work to support social empowerment. Its mission includes creating opportunities for young adults with intellectual disabilities, while its broader work also supports the rehabilitation and empowerment of girls affected by human trafficking.
You can learn more about their work here:
So, this isn’t just about designing a department T-shirt — it’s also about using creativity to support a cause that deserves our attention.
Submission Deadline
10th October, 2026
Submission Guidelines
- The design should be original and created by you.
- Designs may be submitted for a T-shirt, hoodie, or both.
- Mathematical themes are encouraged!
- You may submit more than one design if you have multiple ideas.
We encourage everyone — whether you consider yourself a designer or not — to participate. Sometimes the best ideas come from the most unexpected places!
Let Mathematics inspire the design.
Create. Design. Represent.Best wishes,
